Project Development Manager (renewable energy)

We are looking to secure the services of a Project Development Manager for an Australian consulting firm that offers commercial representation services and engineering solutions to clients in the sectors of infrastructure and energy. They combine in-house Project Management experience, technical capabilities and industry expertise with qualified international engineering houses to provide high-quality and cost-competitive services to companies throughout Australia, New Zealand and South-east Asia.

The role is diverse in its responsibilities spans from Project Management, Business Development to Strategy/Planning. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with project development in Queensland
  • Act as primary contact for customer queries and concerns.
  • Prepare project proposals and develop project plan, schedule and budget in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
  • Assist with managing project development from beginning to end.
  • Plan, track and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Identify and manage project development risks.
  • Engage with subcontractors, consultants and other project stakeholders such as utility companies, landowners, council, etc.

 

Requirement:

  • 3-5 years local experience in project development in either renewable energy or the infrastructure sector
  • Engineering background preferred
  • Previous experience in dealing with council, landowners and other project stakeholders
  • Planning and/or Project management experience will be valued positively.
